Urushi (Japanese lacquer) is a natural material that has been used for ten thousand years as a paint and adhesive. We developed Kourin Urushi, which is more weather resistant than conventional products. It has been used to restore national treasures and important cultural assets, including Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Himeji Castle, both of which are World Heritage sites. Our company refines about 70% of Japan’s lacquer production. In addition to providing lacquer and lacquer ware materials, we also sell kintsugi experience kits and develop and manufacture products that feature use of lacquer. For our domestic customers, we propose, construct, and produce interiors for hotels and other buildings, interior decorations, and fixtures using lacquer. Area of Interest
