Kyoto City is excited to announce the launch of “Tech Tour KYOTO,” an initia
tive designed to promote business networking through tailored tours and intera
ctions with local startups. This program offers businesses the chance to conne
ct and discover new opportunities in Kyoto’s dynamic market.

Tour Concept

Kyoto City arrange tailored tours which include various opportunities to visit and interact with the local ecosystem.
・Tour can be arranged to a variety of needs from general business interests (i.e., “To learn about Kyoto Tech companies” or “To learn about cutting-edge technologies”) to specific business needs (i.e., “To find joint research partners” or “To find specific product suppliers”)
・Tours are generally for 10-20 participants per group, and last anywhere from a half to full day.
・The tech tour office does not handle inquiries from provide arrangements for meals or sightseeing facilities, overnight lodging, etc.

Target Audience

These tours are designed for companies, groups, government officials, and others from outside Japan who are considering business exchanges and network building with companies, universities, and other entities in Kyoto City.

When applying, please include the following information:
・Possible dates, number of people, affiliation of participants, and desired tour content.
・Your transportation method up to Kyoto City and if you need interpreting.

Application Flow

1. Apply via email the Kyoto Technical Tour Office.

2. The office will send a proposal for the tour content.

3. Review the proposed content and make any necessary adjustments.

4. Finalize and register the tour content.
