Kato Tech manufactures and sells KES®, texture testers that measure he quality of touch. KES® was invented collaboration with Professor Kawabata of Kyoto University to quantify the sensations people feel when they touch an object. Since its innovation in 1972, it has been used in research institutions in over 50 countries worldwide. In recent years, we have also sold testers for expanded our product line to include testers for assessing the puncture resistance of separators in EV lithium-ion batteries.
