At Okamoto Orimono, we weave Nishijin kinran brocade, a silk fabric that is used to add solemnity to shrines and temples. In a new business area that we have started, we weave and sell silk fabrics designed with new ideas using traditional techniques and materials under the theme “an item that adds sparkle to everyday life”.” We will continue to develop Nishijin kinran brocade by creating more luxurious products that showcase the charm of kinran brocade and honor the techniques and materials of Kyoto and the Nishijin area, which have been handed down from our ancestors. This includes collaborating with various traditional crafts and techniques from other genres. Area of Interest
